How Can You Connect with Your Higher Self?

Occasionally, on the journey to spiritual liberation, the subject of connecting with one’s higher self comes up for discussion. Generally speaking, I don’t give it much consideration. The idea of “connection” is a misunderstanding of what is meant by “connection.” The higher self, often known as the actual self, is constantly present. We are never completely cut off from it. Instead, we are frequently preoccupied with something completely different.

There are various ways in which we might be distracted by life, and we are often trained to search outside of ourselves for what we believe we want or need. As a result of this style of thinking, some people may experience a sense of being detached from or apart from their higher selves. Additionally, many individuals believe that they are expected to “feel good” when they are connected, and particularly when they are connected with their higher self.

Overall, there is a great deal of uncertainty concerning the higher self, so allow me to make some suggestions to clear things out for you.

Don’t Be Higher, Be Nobody.

I’ve mentioned this before, but it bears repeating: being a nobody has a lot of space. I prefer the term “higher self” over the phrase “higher self.” It takes away the eroticism of the situation. In my opinion, they’re both the same thing. It’s just a state of being aware of one’s surroundings. There’s nothing else to say. It is not a sensation or an experience. It is a place that recognizes and enables the expression of all emotions and experiences. As a result, you may be in awareness while feeling equally sad as you are joyful, relieved as you are frightened, and calm as you are enraged.

To be conscious of this awareness is simply to be conscious of the fact that you are conscious. The more you allow yourself to rest in that place of awareness, the more certain sorts of ecstasy and joy tend to manifest themselves in your experience. You learn, though, not to cling on to them for dear life. They’re merely fleeting sensations, like clouds passing across the sky of consciousness, and they’ll pass.

The Unimpressed Ego

Many egos, on the other hand, will be underwhelmed by this understanding since the higher self seems like a nicer place. It is completely ineffective. It doesn’t provide any benefit to the ego. It’s just there, waiting to be discovered. Yep, Yes, you are correct.

Furthermore, you will never lose it. There is no beginning, middle, or finish to it. It is a continuous flow. It will never pass judgment on you. It always accepts you for who you are, no matter how nice or terrible you are, and this is a wonderful thing to experience. This is the definition of real love. However, because the ego desires romantic love or love that gives one a warm, fuzzy sensation, the ego may not accept this type of love. It is conceivable that it will cast doubt on it or deny it. The ego will be unable to remain in this state of consciousness for long. It will aspire to be somebody, and in doing so, it will make your spiritual journey much more complicated and difficult.

Subtle Levels of the Soul and Spiritual Realms

Certain delicate layers of energy, spirit, and other worlds are available to explore, and this is what some individuals refer to as their “higher selves” when they speak of their spiritual selves. These things are not anything I am interested in. It’s simply that they’re distinct experiences. Actually, the more ego-free you are, the easier it will be to understand and handle any of these situations. The surrender of the ego opens the door to a plethora of possibilities.

The Simplicity of the Higher Self

However, no matter how many other types of “connective” experiences you have on whatever delicate or dense level, those experiences will all come and go at the same time. You will experience positive emotions at various points throughout your life. You will experience negative emotions at various points throughout your life. Human experiences are always evolving, and for some spiritual people, it ultimately dawns on them that they cannot rely on their past experiences. It may take some time for the realization to settle in that the higher self is not dependent on experience.

If those two spiritual realizations soak in, the possibility of a paradigm change exists. People’s egos and focus on separation begin to crumble, and their attention and energy begin to return to the realm of their higher selves, which they had never left in the first place. In this return, I am just pointing to the dissolution of the illusion of separateness, rather than to a more profound kind of reconnection. However, when illusions begin to dissolve, the body may have experiences that a person may label as “connection,” but these are really a byproduct of the deeper connection that exists inside everyone and which ultimately connects them to the oneness that exists throughout all of creation.
